Beeswax Bread Bags
- Lining: wipe or gently rinse with cool water and a little mild soap, then air dry completely before storing bread again.
- Keep it cool: no hot water, dishwasher, microwave or oven for the lining. Heat melts the beeswax coating.
- Outer bag: take out the lining first, then machine wash the cotton-linen bag on a gentle cycle and let it air dry.
- Best use: store bread only once fully cooled; fold the top and fasten the buckle. Keep away from the stove and direct sun.
Teak Wooden Cooking Utensils
- Hand wash: use warm, soapy water, rinse, and towel dry right away. Let them finish air drying in the holder.
- Skip the dishwasher: and never leave the utensils soaking. Both can dry out, warp or crack the wood.
- Oil occasionally: when the wood looks pale or dry, rub on a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil, let it sit a few hours, then wipe off the extra.
- Everyday tip: rest a hot spoon on the spoon rest, and keep the set in a dry spot away from direct heat.
